The grueling 8 day TSROAW shoot has finished. I've got 15 cans of film in a drawer, 7 more are already at the lab. Endless thanks to the extraordinary cast and crew who worked professionally, tirelessly, and without complaint. I'll have much more to write about the film but today I've just got to relax, take Dan and Sam to the airport, and gear up for the next long phase: post-production (dunh-dunh-dunh!!!!).
We're 5 days away from the start of production on TSROAW. Things are busy as can be. Here's an image from our production designer Wesley Cabral, a detail from the set of a neurological laboratory.
So Daniel and Alice (and who else lived there at the time?), had a concert one time at their apartment in Park Slope. Daniel, as you know, is playing Andre Weil in The Strange Rebirth of Andre Weil. The Dirty Projectors and Phosphorescent played and now Pitchfork has seen fit to put some of the sweaty video on their new pitchfork.tv site. Or you can watch it below, Daniel even makes a cameo if you look close.
Wow, it's May. We start shooting in 10 days! Anyway, Milenko turned me onto the Ken Russell film Altered States, written by Paddy Chayefsky (Network). It shares some thematic concerns with TSROAW. Here's the trailer.
