At the risk of appearing overzealous I want to point out this slideshow from The Daily Beast of some of the news making films at Sundance this year. I wasn't able to see any of these, but I want to see all of them and I think they speak generally to a robust independent American film scene. There were lots of others too, some of which I was able to catch, at both Sundance and Slamdance, that had me feeling very encouraged! Let's hope they all get seen by lots of people! RELATED.
