Continuing an NYT theme: Stanley Fish lists his version of the 10 Best American Movies. A noble effort full of holes as any such list is bound to be. Maybe I'll give it a shot sometime this week. Most glaring inclusion; Groundhog Day.

i'm a man who loves GHD, but I also find this a surpising choice for 10 best american films. am i right or am i right?

I'll be curious to hear our esteemed blogger weigh in on this, but i believe this is exactly the type of recognition for GHD he's been saying is deserved for quite some time? Not sure if I agree, but Stanley Fish adds some legitimacy to this argument to be sure. Deserves a re-watch at least for me, perhaps as a marathon with some of the others on this list to serve as a compare/contrast. . .
